Ron Munn

I started playing guitar at the age of 12 in Van Nuys, Ca. After a year of study I started piano lessons. I played duets with my teachers and played in recitals on piano and guitar. In the summer before high school I studied sax because my school was looking for a sax player in marching band. I played guitar and  piano in Jazz Ensemble my junior and senior years.

 

In 1990 I began teaching(guitar,piano and sax) One on one as well as group lessons where my students would play in recitals and open mics every year. Ages 5 up to adult. Became the head music teacher at AV Music School in 1997. 

 

My recording carrer began in 2003 for Schepora Records and then Innervision Records in 2005. These were followed by the Charlie Christian Jazz festival in 06 and 07.

 

Present Day:

I play in a 14 piece orchestra where I read charts and perform about 60 shows a year. I also play in a classic rock band that does special engagements and private parties.
