Lauren is a professional singer, instrumentalist, and actress from Los Angeles, California, currently living in LA for the summer and in Montreal during the school semesters. She started her musical journey as a choir singer at the age of four and is now completing her master’s degree in Early Music Performance (Voice) at McGill University, Schulich School of Music. Previously, she graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Performance (Voice) Cum Laude and received the Outstanding Musician Award of her graduating class.
Lauren has years of experience performing internationally as a featured soloist with orchestras in Austria, Italy, and the United States. She has performed lead roles in multiple operas, including Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella in Cinderella, and Monica in The Medium. She has also participated in many musical theatre masterclasses and songwriter shows. Aside from singing, Lauren has been playing flute in orchestras for the past ten years and has been playing guitar (age 7) and piano (age 10) for many years.
As a music teacher, Lauren creates a safe environment where students can find their love for music, develop their skills, and perform in their own unique way. Lauren enjoys working with all levels of students: meeting them at their skill set and tailoring lessons to what best fits them. With an extensive background in pedagogy, she is determined to teach each lesson with a safe, healthy technique in all genres for her students as a foundation to build upon in their musical journey.
