Will Sievern is a pianist and music producer based in Studio City, California. He started studying classical piano at 6, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2014 with a degree in piano performance.
Growing up in southern Indiana, Will won numerous local and national piano competitions, and continued to find competitive success while studying under John Blacklow at Notre Dame. He’s performed with several orchestras and as a soloist across the country, including a performance at Weill’s Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2013.
As a pianist and teacher, Will has an affinity towards the repertoire of the Romantic and Contemporary eras, especially Chopin, Debussy, and Prokofiev. These days he focuses on producing rhythmic pop and hip hop music for artists and record labels, and music for film and video games with his brother, Alec.
Will enjoys working with pianists of all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to competition-focused students. He focuses not only on developing a strong sense of rhythm and technique, but also on playing the piano as a means to express emotion and create beautiful sounds. He is a strong believer in the cognitive benefits of learning to play an instrument, and makes sure the process is fun and engaging while simultaneously developing grit, self-discipline, and an appreciation for music.
In his free time, Will enjoys partaking in the LA music scene, playing card games, and writing in the third person.
